introductionAwareness building and education are the key issues in tackling the Bali environmental and specifically waste problems. The Waste Re-Cycling Project is visited frequently by schools, Government officials, NGOs and other interest groups. Seeing solutions, combined with interactive and hands-on activities in an educational center have a much longer lasting impact, not only on school children, but also on adult visitors. Emphasis will be on interactive presentations, hands-on experiences and practical solutions for the general population. A further important function of the Center will be encouraging and actively supporting the planning and implementation of material recovery facilities in other areas of Bali and Indonesia to replicate the Gianyar Material Recovery Facility, thus creating a synergy between the two projects. planned themes for the center
