Pejeng learning center project

introduction

The Centre is located in the Pejeng village area east of Ubud, and will teach English, computer skills, and reading. The center will include a community library to encourage reading for people of all ages.

We also envisage that the centre could offer classes to the older women within the banjar, many of whom are illiterate.

Wide public education in Indonesia has been under development for less than 60 years and has been consistently under funded. The club is working with 44 elementary schools to provide safe physical environments, school supplies, teaching material and classroom furniture.

The electric is in and construction renovations will be complete soon.  Still looking for additional volunteers to do computer training, teach English, and read books aloud.
